Momies fait ses premiers pas sur la scène graffiti Montpelliéraine en 93 sous le pseudonyme de Pyre, faisant ainsi parti de la première vague de graffeurs de la région. Commençant par un graffiti traditionnel, c’est au cours des années qu’il développe un côté plus graphique dans son travail, s’adaptant parfaitement au style des POW (Pang, Fode, Ktroe, Vania, Mire…) dont il intègre le crew en 1998. Artiste discret et influant sur la scène locale, il se démarque avec un style unique en son genre, des tracés indéfinissables, industriels, tout en rondeurs qui seront surnommés par la suite “modules”. Momies est un acteur principal du sud de la France et a su imposer sa griffe à travers ses réalisations en participant à de nombreux projets artistiques sur Montpellier ainsi qu’à travers l’Europe. Ses nombreux déplacements à l’étranger (R.U., NY, Belgique, Ukraine, Bulgarie, Portugal…) lui ont permis d’acquérir et d’affirmer ce style inimitable.
